2022 Whistler Vineyard Picus Estate Pinot Noir, West Sonoma Coast
Picus was made with 15% whole clusters (including stems) and aged for 11 months in 40% new French oak barrels. Aromas of violets, dark cherries, plums and sage. Medium to full-bodied with a big juicy palate, wet stone and chocolate. Nuanced with notes of coriander and nutmeg. Fine and delicate tannins with a fresh finish and minerality. Enjoyable now, but we recommend saving a bottle or two for a few years, as the wine has great ageing potential.
